Yongan Fishing Port Seine Net Culture Center
Located along the scenic Bengang Bay coast in Xinwu District, Taoyuan, the Yongan Fishing Port Seine Net Culture Center is the only coastal venue in Taiwan that uniquely integrates Hakka heritage with traditional fishing port culture. Operated by the OceanHakka Leisure Agriculture Development Association, the center is surrounded by tidal wetlands and adjacent to the Conch Cultural Experience Hall, forming a hub for marine education, ecological preservation, and cultural engagement.
Designed in flowing wave-like architecture in ocean blue and white, the venue offers panoramic views from its rooftop platform, accommodating up to 80 participants for various workshops and guided activities. Visitors can enjoy glamping accommodations, locally sourced low-carbon meals, and hands-on experiences such as net fishing (Qian-gu), clam digging, melon picking, and Hakka culinary crafts. Through these immersive programs, the center fosters environmental awareness, cultural pride, and sustainable coastal living.
